We are embarking together on a journey to explore destinations across the Black Sea Basin and discover solutions for more sustainable tourism.
On 24–25 February 2026, representatives of the six partners of the Sustainable Destinations Black Sea Network (SUSDEST-NET) project met in Kavala, Greece, within the Interreg NEXT Black Sea Basin Programme. During the Steering Committee meeting, participants reviewed the project’s vision, objectives, planned activities, and expected results, aligning priorities and creating a shared roadmap for action.
Special attention was given to the first six months of implementation, including the identification of target groups, definition of expected outputs, technical planning, and administrative coordination to ensure efficient project implementation. The Municipality of Kavala also organized a press conference, along with radio and TV coverage, to raise public awareness about the initiative.
With this first meeting, the partners have set the direction for a collaborative journey toward more sustainable tourism across the Black Sea Basin.
