From July 17 to 19, 2026, the heart of Moldova’s capital vibrated with culture,
energy, and community spirit during the celebrated “Te Salut, Chișinău!”
Festival. Amidst the lively festivities, a vital initiative took center stage to inspire
positive change for our regional environment: SUSDEST NET.
Bringing the Black Sea Basin into Focus
During the three-day event, team members—representing the initiative in which
the City Hall of Chișinău is an active partner—actively engaged with festival-
goers to raise awareness about the project. Through interactive conversations and
colorful informational materials distributed throughout the festival grounds, the
public gained valuable insights into:
- Sustainable Destination Management: How local actions directly impact
broader ecosystems. - Preserving the Black Sea Basin: Why cross-border environmental
cooperation is crucial for future generations. - Community Empowerment: Simple, actionable steps citizens can take to
foster eco-friendly tourism and local sustainability.
A Festival with a Purpose
The enthusiasm from the crowd was palpable. Thousands of locals and visitors
stopped by to learn, ask questions, and show their support for greener initiatives
across the region. By weaving environmental awareness directly into the city’s
cultural celebration, the project team proved that building a sustainable future goes
hand-in-hand with celebrating our heritage.
Connecting with people where they celebrate is the best way to spark real
conversation about our shared environment—especially when it comes to vital
ecosystems like the Black Sea Basin.
As the festival drew to a successful close, the message remained clear: SUSDEST
NET continues to make waves, paving the way for a more sustainable, connected,
and resilient Black Sea region.
